Rachel Annunziata

Rachel has been practicing as a masters-level therapist since October 2022. From 2018 to 2020, she worked as a certified alcohol and drug counselor and as a counselor intern throughout her MS level internship from 2021 to 2022.

Rachel has worked with those who struggle with addiction, self-harm, mood regulation, anxiety, and complex trauma. She also has extensive experience working with Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), offering an augmented treatment option to therapy.

Approach to Treatment

My approach to treating is person-centered, where I meet the client where they are at, using motivational interviewing and the stages of change to do this. I utilize an integrative approach, working from a psychodynamic, attachment-style, and trauma-informed lens. I believe in looking not only at the current symptoms, but where the symptoms are stemming from, because they are merely manifestations of a deeper issue. Providing symptom relief alone, is not enough to help a patient in the long-run. Therefore, I aim to work on the root issues, and not just put a band-aid on the presenting problems.
