Bachelors in Nursing at West Chester University. Masters in Nursing at Drexel University. Certification as a Family NP from Drexel University and as PMHNP from Wilkes University.
I am certified as a family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. Memberships include AANP, ANCC, ANA, APNA.
My personality is naturally warm, empathetic, and curious, which deeply influences my approach to mental health treatment. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel genuinely heard and valued. My calm and patient nature helps me build trust, while my curiosity drives me to keep exploring each person’s unique story, strengths, and needs.
Common issues I have come across with medication management include medication adherence, side effect management, and helping clients set realistic expectations about what medications can and cannot do. My approach is to provide education, foster open and honest communication, and involve clients in every decision about their treatment. I believe in a collaborative, individualized process that respects each person’s goals, values, and concerns while aiming for the best possible quality of life.
I have a person-centered philosophy, meeting clients where they are and tailoring treatment to their unique needs and strengths.
I’ve noticed how often clients struggle with feelings of shame, isolation, and self-criticism. Recognizing this has guided me to approach treatment with an even deeper focus on building self-compassion, normalizing struggles, and reinforcing the idea that healing is a shared human experience, not a personal failure.
Trust — creating a space where clients feel safe, respected, and truly heard. When people know they can show up as they are, without judgment, real healing and growth become possible.
Healing isn’t linear — it looks different for everyone. Progress can be slow, messy, and deeply personal, but even small steps are powerful. I’ve also learned that simply being present and offering genuine empathy can sometimes be more healing than any intervention.
I initially sought certification as PMHNP to provide better care for my palliative care patients but after really enjoying my clinical rotations in the outpatient clinic setting, I decided to change course and switch from palliative care to mental health.
